 Notification of Director's dealing and alteration of significant shareholding

N Brown Group plc ('N Brown') advises that it has received confirmation from
Nigel Alliance, a non-executive Director of the Company, that he has today
sold 1.1 million ordinary shares (representing 0.75% of the issued share
capital of N Brown) at a price of £7.00 per share.  Of these, 1 million shares
were held directly by Nigel Alliance, and the remaining 100,000 shares were sold
by a family trust of which members of Nigel Alliance's family are beneficiaries.

Following this disposal the number of shares held directly by Nigel Alliance,
or by family trusts in which he has an interest, is 17,401,964 representing
11.89% of the issued share capital of N Brown.
