Steven Guggenheimer to join BT Group Board
BT Group plc ("BT Group") hereby announces that Steven Guggenheimer will be joining its Board as an independent non-executive director. Steven joins the Board effective 1 October 2022 and as a member of the Nominations and Digital Impact & Sustainability Committees.
Steve is an accomplished technology executive with more than 25 years of experience at Microsoft, where he has held a variety of senior and large-scale leadership roles. He has a strong track record of advising businesses on digital transformation and brings extensive insight into technologies ranging from artificial intelligence to Cloud computing.
In welcoming Steve to the Board, BT Group's Chairman Adam Crozier said "Steve's significant experience of digital transformation, AI and Cloud computing, and operating in a "scaled" environment will bring an invaluable perspective to the BT Group Board. His experience in advising large complex businesses on the impact of technology will support our strategic transformation."
Steve added "I'm excited to be joining the BT Group Board. Steven Guggenheimer biography
Steven is currently a non-executive director of HSBC Holdings plc, Forrit Technology Limited, the Software Acquisition Group Inc., and Leupold & Stevens, Inc. He is also an advisor to The 5G Open Innovation Lab and UC Davis - Department of Physics and Tensility Venture Partners LLC. Over his career he held a variety of senior leadership roles at Microsoft, including Corporate Vice President, Artificial Intelligence; Corporate Vice President, Chief Evangelist; and Corporate Vice President, Original Equipment Manufacturer.
