Directorate Changes
Bytes Technology Group plc ("BTG" or "the Group"), one of the UK's leading software, security and cloud services specialists, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Mudd as an Executive Director, with effect from the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting ("AGM") to be held in July 2023. Sam is currently the Managing Director ("MD") of Phoenix Software Limited ("Phoenix"), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group, and she will continue in this role following her appointment to the BTG Board ("Board").
The Group also announces that after 23 years with the Group, David Maw will be stepping down as a non-executive director at the 2023 AGM.
Sam brings over 20 years' experience in leadership positions to the Board. She joined Phoenix in November 2003, having previously held senior roles at WordPerfect, Novell Inc., and Trustmarque Solutions. Sam became MD of Phoenix in 2014, overseeing a period of significant growth during which Phoenix has won numerous awards, including Microsoft UK Partner of the Year 2021. In October 2020, Sam won the Women in Channel 'Industry Achievement Award' from IT reseller magazine CRN. Two years earlier, she was named '2018 Business Leader of the Year' at the Women in IT awards. Outside her work with the Group, Sam is a member of the Board of Trustees of Scarborough's Saint Catherine's Hospice.
