Board Changes


Caffyns plc today confirm that Mr Alan M. Caffyn DL, Chairman, is retiring as
Chairman of Caffyns plc. Mr Brian Carte, who has held a Non-Executive Director
position with Caffyns plc since June 1996, was declared as successor at the
Company's 93rd Annual General Meeting (see announcement dated 24/07/02). These
changes are with effect from 1st May 2003.


Mr Alan M. Caffyn DL has accepted the new role of Honorary President.


Miss Sarah Caffyn, Group Personnel Manager/Company Secretary has also been
appointed to the Board of Directors with effect from 28th April 2003 as Director
HR/Company Secretary.
