CALEDONIA INVESTMENTS PLC - GRANT OF SHARE OPTIONS AND DEFERRED BONUS AWARDS

Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that on 1 June 2006 the
following option grants and deferred share awards over ordinary 5p shares in
Caledonia were granted to executive directors under the Caledonia Investments
2005 Executive Share Option Scheme (the '2005 Scheme') and the Caledonia
Investments Deferred Bonus Plan (the 'Deferred Bonus Plan'). The company's share
price for the purposes of the exercise price of the options and the Deferred
Bonus Plan awards was 1878p.

and ten years after the date of grant. Subject to the rules of the Deferred
Bonus Plan, deferred share awards vest three years after award.

by the above-named executive directors of Caledonia following these option
grants and deferred share awards are as follows:
