Notification of Major interest in shares

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Camellia Plc (the
'Company') announces that it has been notified that The Camellia Private Trust
Company Limited, in its capacity as a trustee of The Camellia Foundation, as at
close of business on 17th April 2007, had a notifiable interest of 1,426,000
ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, representing 51.30 per cent of the
total voting rights of the Company. These shares are held by Camellia Holding AG
which is owned by The Camellia Private Trust Company Limited.
The Company further announces that, in accordance with the Disclosure and
Transparency Rules, it has been notified that Alcatel Bell Pensioenfonds VZW, as
at close of business on 30th March 2007, had a notifiable interest of 210,493
ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, representing 7.57 per cent of the
total voting rights of the Company. These shares are held by its nominee, HSBC
Global Custody Nominees (UK) Limited A/C 847592.
