Capita Group Plc ('the Company')

SHARE REPURCHASE

Capita Group Plc announces that it purchased 150,000 ordinary shares in the
Company on 11 October 2005 at an average price of 379.98p per share. It is
intended that these shares are to be held in Treasury. Following the purchase,
Capita Group plc holds 10,154,000 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total
number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is
650,006,387.
