CAPITA SIGNS CONTRACT WITH ZURICH TO SUPPORT THEIR UK LIFE OPERATIONS
The Capita Group Plc ('Capita') announces that it has signed a contract with
Zurich as an outsourcing partner to deliver business processing activities to
support the continued growth of Zurich's UK Life operations. The core contract
is valued at £300 million over 10 years. Additionally, Capita will provide
further services throughout the term of the partnership as required by Zurich.
Capita will deliver customer servicing, policy administration, new business and
claims activities and the associated technology. The focus will be to simplify
business processes and accelerate technological performance to achieve further
improvement. The contract will represent the largest outsourcing partnership to
provide open book life and pensions administration services in the UK. Operations
and approximately 1040 employees will transfer to Capita with effect from
1 February 2006.
