                                 RETIREMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Capital & Regional plc announces that, as stated in the Company's 2009 Annual Report, Alan Coppin, a non-executive director, will retire from the Board today after two full terms with the Board.

Hugh Scott-Barrett said:

"I have much enjoyed working with Alan over the last two years and have appreciated  his counsel. I wish him every success in the future."

Alan Coppin said:

"My time with Capital & Regional has been interesting, challenging at times, but always enjoyable and I will look back at the last 6 years with great fondness."
