Board Appointment
Carclo plc confirms the appointment of Barbara Richmond
as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 January
2000. As indicated in the 1999 Interim Report, Mrs
Richmond is replacing Henry Mutkin as Chair of the Audit
Committee following his retirement from the Board.
Barbara, 39, has been Finance Director of Croda
International PLC since 1997. After obtaining a first
class honours degree in Management Sciences from UMIST
she qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur
Andersen before joining GEC as a Divisional Financial
Controller. She subsequently moved to Whessoe PLC where
she was promoted to Group Finance Director.
In relation to this announcement, the company has been
notified, pursuant to paragraph 16.4 of The London Stock
Exchange listing Rules, that Mrs Richmond's reportable
directorships are as follows:-
Croda International PLC 3 February 1997 to date
Whessoe PLC 1 February 1994 to 31 January 1997
