Carillion receives c.£100m contract extension from ntl
Telewest
Support services and construction company Carillion has secured an extension
until 2011 to its current facilities management contract with ntl Telewest,
worth around £100 million.
Carillion currently provides a broad range of facilities and project management
services to Telewest properties throughout the UK. The contract will now broaden
to include ntl Telewest's office portfolio, following ntl's recent merger with
Telewest.
Carillion and Telewest have a long and successful relationship which was
acknowledged by their winning the Premises & Facilities Management Partners in
FM Award in 2005.
Carillion chief executive John McDonough said: 'We are delighted to have been
awarded this contract extension from ntl Telewest, which is another major step
in Carillion's strategy of developing strong, long-term collaborative
relationships with key strategic customers. This reinforces our strong
relationship with Telewest, and consolidates our position as the UK's leading
provider of FM solutions to the telecommunications industry.'
