Carillion plc, the construction to services Group, has today announced that it
intends to restructure its senior management team.
In the new and flatter management structure, there will be three executive
Board directors, Chief Executive, John McDonough, Operations Director, Roger
Robinson and Finance Director, Chris Girling.
Under the new structure, which will come into effect on 1 May, the Managing
Directors of Carillion's business groups will report to John McDonough.
As a result of this restructuring, John Sharples, executive Board director,
will be retiring after 30 years with the Company and Euan McEwan, executive
Board director, will be leaving the Company to pursue his career outside the
Group.
Commenting on the changes John McDonough said 'Since demerger, the senior
management team has done an excellent job in establishing Carillion as an
independent company. The Board is extremely grateful to John Sharples and Euan
McEwan for the contribution they have made to the success of Carillion and we
wish them well for the future.
'Going forward the management team will continue to be tightly focused on
making further progress with our strategy for generating a growing stream of
more visible and predictable earnings through developing our PFI and
services-related activities alongside our well established construction
businesses.'
