AGM Statement

Castings PLC

At the Annual General Meeting of Castings plc today, Chairman Brian Cooke will
issue the following update on trading:

Further to my statement in the annual report and accounts, I am pleased to
report that we will be going ahead with the new machine shop for CNC Speedwell
and expect to commence building in October.

Compared to this time last year, sales and earnings are ahead and without any
unforeseen events we expect a satisfactory half year result.
