Additional Placing of New Shares.
On 2nd February 2004 Newsplayer Group plc ('NPG' or the 'Company') announced
that it had agreed to acquire Betelgeuse Productions Inc. (the 'Acquisition')
and that it had placed 10,714,286 new NPG shares at 21p per share conditional
only upon completion of the Acquisition.
The Company announces today that it has conditionally placed an additional
2,380,952 shares at 21p per share with an institutional investor. This means
that conditional only upon completion of the Acquisition the Company will have
placed a total of 13,095,238 new NPG shares with new and existing shareholders
realising £2,750,000, before expenses, in additional working capital for the
Company.
The Company expects the Acquisition to complete in the week commencing 1st March
2004 following the Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on 27th February
2004.
