Statement re press article
The directors of Newsplayer Group plc (the 'Company') note the article in
today's Guardian newspaper regarding the potential purchase of United Business
Media plc's ('UBM') stake in Satellite Information Services Limited ('SIS').
The directors of the Company confirm that they are in discussions with UBM
regarding an acquisition of UBM's stake in SIS but that such discussions may or
may not lead to the consummation of a transaction. In order to conclude the
acquisition, the Company would need to raise further funds.
The directors will announce further details in due course.
