Claims Direct plc ('the Company')


Claims Direct plc announces that 1,291,667 new ordinary shares have been
issued pursuant to the exercise of options. Paul Doona, Finance Director, has
exercised options over 208,333 ordinary shares of 1p each granted to him under
an option agreement dated 5 July 2000. Roger Plantier, also a director of the
Company, has exercised options over 55,556 ordinary shares of 1p each under an
option agreement of the same date. The exercise price of these options was 1p
per share. Following this announcement, Paul Doona and Roger Plantier will
hold 0.11 per cent. and 0.03 per cent. of the issued share capital of the
Company respectively. Two further employees of the Company have exercised
options over 1,027,778 ordinary shares of 1p each under an option agreement
dated 5 July 2000.


Both Paul Doona and Roger Plantier have agreed not to sell, transfer or
otherwise dispose of these new ordinary shares without the prior written
approval of Investec Bank (UK) Limited until 13 July 2002.


The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares
of the Company. Application will be made to the UK Listing Authority for the
admission to the Official List of the ordinary shares and to the London Stock
Exchange for the admission of those shares for trading on the London Stock
Exchange's markets for listed securities. It is expected that such admission
will become effective and that dealings will commence on 6 April 2001.


Following the issue of the new ordinary shares, which will rank pari passu in
all respects with the existing issued shares of the Company, there will be
193,868,640 ordinary shares of 1p each in issue.


As announced on 2 April 2001, Kathleen Hankinson (wife of David Hankinson, non
executive director) acquired 30,000 shares in Claims Direct plc. On that date,
David Hankinson sold 15,000 shares in the Company. In addition, on 2 April
2001, David Hickey, non executive director and his wife Jane Hickey acquired
115,000 shares and 85,000 shares in the Company respectively.
