On 3rd August Centrica plc received notification from CGNU under Section 198
Companies Act 1985 that following the recent merger between CGU plc and Norwich
Union plc interests in Centrica plc had been merged.

CGNU plc and certain of its subsidiaries therefore now have a notifiable
interest of 4.3%.
