Plc dated 23 April 2002, received by Celtic Resources Holdings Plc on the 24

We, Gartmore Investment Limited (GIL), Gartmore Fund Managers Limited (GFM) and
Gartmore Global Partners (GGP), write to advise you pursuant to Section 67 of
the Irish Companies Act 1990, that we now have a reportable interest in your
company by virture of acquiring 9,259,259 ordinary shares on 26th March 2002 as
a result of a placing:

1)      The notification relates to the ordinary EUR0.025 share capital of
Celtic Resources Holdings Plc

2)      The identities of the beneficial holders of theses shares and the number
of shares held by each holder, so far as is known at the date of this
