BULGIN ACQUIRES MILMEGA LTD
Bulgin PLC ('Bulgin'), the AIM listed manufacturer of
electromechanical, electronic components and power electronics
products, has acquired the entire issued share capital of
Milmega Limited ('Milmega') for an initial consideration of US
$2 million in cash. The final consideration will be adjusted by
reference to the audited net assets on completion.
Milmega is a designer and manufacturer of solid state microwave
amplifiers used in the communications, medical, test equipment
and military markets. Audited accounts for the year to 31st
December 1999 show net assets of £1.0 million, sales of £1.9
million, and profits of £77,000.
Brian Emerson, Chief Executive of Bulgin, commented 'The
acquisition of Milmega is consistent with Bulgin's strategy of
investing in value-added businesses in the power electronics
sector. It complements our existing business and helps us to
expand and enhance our current operations.'
