Significant Shareholding
The Company was informed on 27 February 2006 that on that date the personal
pension fund of Mr Andrew Perloff, purchased 1,570,000 Elektron ordinary shares,
resulting in a total holding at that date of 2,170,000 such shares. In addition
Mr Perloff holds 2,000,0000 shares and Panther Securities plc, of which he is
chairman and a major shareholder, holds 9,090,909 shares. Accordingly, Andrew
Perloff is interested in a total holding of 13,260,909 ordinary shares, or
16.77% of the Company's issued share capital.
Further to an announcement made by Elektron on 21 February 2006, the family and
associated holdings of Mr JAD Skailes, a former director of the Company, have
now sold the 2,215,000 ordinary shares in on market transactions within five
business days of the date thereof. Elektron, therefore, did not make any
purchase of its own shares.
