CHEMRING GROUP PLC
NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT
Chemring Group PLC today announced the appointment of Mr Tim Hayter as Chief
Operating Officer with effect from 1 November 2001. Mr Hayter, who will be an
executive director, will assume responsibility for the management of all
Chemring Group operating companies, reporting to David Evans the Chief
Executive.
Commenting on the appointment, Ken Scobie, Chemring Group Chairman said: 'I
stated in the last annual report that we were looking to strengthen the
executive team to manage the Group's continuing growth prospects and I am
delighted that Tim Hayter has accepted this role. His operational experience,
particularly in the US, will be a valuable additional resource for the Group.'
Tim Hayter is 42 years of age. He is a Chartered Engineer, with a Rolls-Royce
sponsored engineering degree and a London Business School MBA. His career to
date has included executive operational management roles in both the Far East
and more recently the USA. His most recent appointment was as a director of
Dynacast International Limited.
