Christie Group plc (CTG.L), the leading provider of Professional Business Services and Stock & Inventory Systems & Services to the leisure, retail and care markets, has been advised that Christopher Day, Executive Director, has today exercised share options to acquire 26,134 Christie Group plc ordinary shares.
The share options were originally granted as part of the Christie Group plc Save As You Earn Scheme (the "SAYE Scheme") and today's announcement follows Mr Day's decision to convert his savings made under the SAYE Scheme into share options, as is permitted by the SAYE Scheme, and to exercise those options accordingly. The share options have been exercised at the option price of 59.5 pence per share, set on the grant date of 2 November 2009.
In opting to exercise these options, Mr Day has paid consideration of £15,549.73. The shares have been issued to Mr Day from existing shares held within the Christie Group plc Employee Share Ownership Trust.
Accordingly, Mr Day's beneficial and non-beneficial holdings in the Company have increased to 712,847 ordinary shares, representing approximately 2.69 per cent of the total voting rights of the Company.
