Trading Update
The Board of Christie Group plc (CTG.L), the leading provider of Professional & Financial Services and Stock & Inventory Systems & Services to the hospitality, leisure, healthcare, medical, childcare & education and retail sectors, has issued the following statement:
"We are pleased to advise that our normal trading results for the year ended December 2019 are expected to be in line with market expectations.
In addition, we have benefitted from the profitable sale of an office building, as mentioned in our Interim results statement.
Our businesses, which operate in the hospitality, retail, medical and educational fields, are adversely impacted by the Covid-19. This is primarily as a result of having limited access to certain of our clients' premises. All of our trading companies' services presently remain available.
We have good technology and communications to operate away from our physical bases.
Our people have risen magnificently and with ingenuity to face these new challenges.
It is not currently possible to quantify the full effect of Covid-19 related disruption on our business for 2020 or beyond.
We intend to avail ourselves of all relevant government assistance available to us.
We remain structured to resume our normal level of operations when conditions allow."
