CHURCHILL CHINA PLC
BOARD CHANGES
Further to its trading statement issued yesterday,
Churchill is pleased to announce the following changes to
its Board. On Wednesday 17 May 2000, Derek Mapp resigned
as the non-executive Director of the Company and was
replaced by Jonathan Sparey, 42. At the same time two
further executive appointments were made, Simon Michael
John Bell, 44, and Ralph Grundy, 39. Simon and Ralph are
Sales and Marketing Directors of the Group's Dining In
and Dining Out divisions and have worked for the Group
for seven and two years respectively. Their roles have
previously been performed as directors of the Group's
principal operating subsidiary, Churchill China (UK)
Limited. The appointment to main board reflects not only
a recognition of the hard work and commitment they have
demonstrated over the last two years in particular but
also the need for the sales and marketing functions to be
fully represented at main board level. I am pleased to
welcome them to the Board.
There is no other information requiring disclosure in
accordance with Paragraph 6 F.2 (b) to (g) or Paragraph
16.4 (a) of the Listing Rules
