City of London Investment Group plc (LSE: CLIG) announces the following board changes effective 1^st January 2013:

Doug Allison, having been Finance Director since 1998, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer from Barry Olliff, as planned and previously announced. Mr Olliff continues in the role of Chief Investment Officer.

Valerie Tannahill is appointed to the role of Finance Director. Mrs Tannahill joined City of London in 1997 as Finance Manager, and is a director of The World Markets Umbrella Fund plc, City of London's Dublin listed UCITS product.

Philippa Keith, of MSP Secretaries Ltd, is appointed as Company Secretary.
