City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading emerging markets asset management group, announces that on 29 March 2018 the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 17,500 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 430 pence per share.  Following this purchase the Trust holds 1,333,685 ordinary shares in the Company representing 5.0% of the Company's issued capital.
