DIRECTOR HOLDINGS IN COMPANY

Cardinal Resources plc (AIM:CDL), an independent oil and gas production and
exploration company, was notified that Marcus Stanton, Non-Executive Director of
Cardinal, today purchased 75,000 Cardinal Ordinary Shares at a price of 26.25p.

Mr. Stanton's total holding in the Company now equals 125,000 Cardinal Ordinary
Shares, or 0.11% of the issued share capital.
