DIRECTOR HOLDINGS IN COMPANY

Cardinal Resources plc (AIM:CDL), an independent oil and gas exploration and
production company, was notified that Marcus Stanton, Non-Executive Director of
Cardinal, today purchased 50,000 Cardinal Ordinary Shares at a price of 19.5p.

Mr. Stanton's total holding in the Company equals 50,000 Cardinal Ordinary
Shares.
