Guinness Peat Group plc ("GPG") advises that an announcement (the "Announcement
") has been made on the Australian Securities Exchange ("ASX") by Bell Potter on
behalf of GPG (No. 6) Pty Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of GPG, to acquire
all the issued ordinary share capital of Gosford Quarry Holdings Limited (an
Australian company listed on the ASX) which GPG does not own at a price of
A$0.55 a share.
