Saint-Gobain divests its GlaSS processing and distribution businesses in Norway and sweden
Saint-Gobain has sold its regional glass business Glassolutions Norway and Sweden to Mimir Invest AB, a Swedish investment firm. The divestment will be effective January 11, 2019 and the divested businesses will continue to use the Glassolutions brand under a franchise agreement.
Glassolutions Norway and Sweden manufactures and distributes glass products. This business has delivered an annual turnover of around €35 million and employs 170 people. Saint-Gobain will remain present in the region as a supplier of float glass, insulated glass units and high performance glass.
This disposal is part of the Group's announced objective to divest businesses representing sales of at least €3 billion by the end of 2019.
