COMPASS GROUP PLC: DIRECTOR / PDMR SHAREHOLDING

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following changes in the interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 22 September 2010, Ian Sarson, a PDMR who is responsible for the Company's businesses in the UK and Ireland, exercised a total of 9,221 options at 179.20 pence per Share under the Compass Group UK Savings-Related Share Option Scheme.   

Following this transaction, Mr Sarson has acquired a shareholding of 9,221 Shares, representing 0.0005% of the issued share capital of the Company.
