NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") confirms that Susan Murray, a non-executive director of the Company, has increased her shareholding in the Company by the purchase of 4,500 ordinary shares at a purchase price of 544 pence each per share on 24 September 2010.

As a result of this transaction, Ms Murray now holds 7,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the capital of the Company, representing 0.0004% of the issued share capital.
