NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 3 July 2012, Gerhard Poelzl, a PDMR who is responsible for the Company's business in the Pacific region, exercised 50,000 options at 229.25 pence each, 41,477 options at 335.75 pence each and 45,893 options at 321.50 pence each respectively and disposed of all the resulting 137,370 Shares at 668.00 pence per Share.

Following these transactions, Mr Poelzl's shareholding remains unchanged at 158,237 Shares, representing 0.0085% of the Company's issued share capital.
