COMPASS GROUP PLC: DIRECTOR / PDMR SHAREHOLDING

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following changes in the interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 26 March 2010, Sir Roy Gardner, Chairman, gifted for nil consideration 4,000 Shares to his spouse, Lady Gardner; 1,334 Shares to his son, Andrew Gardner; and 1,333 Shares to each of his daughters, Natalie Newby-Ricci and Danielle Gardner.  

On 29 March 2010, Lady Gardner gifted for nil consideration 1,334 Shares to her son, Andrew Gardner, and 1,333 Shares to each of her daughters, Natalie Newby-Ricci and Danielle Gardner.  

Also on 29 March 2010, Mr Ian El-Mokadem, a PDMR, who is responsible for the Group's businesses in the UK and Ireland,  sold 95,000 Shares at a price of 527.77 pence per share.

Following these transactions, Sir Roy Gardner and Ian El-Mokadem are interested in Shares as shown below:
