IPO for Biomni
The Boards of Computacenter plc and Computasoft Ltd today announced their
decision to explore the possibility of a public listing for a minority stake
in Biomni, their business-to-business e-commerce joint venture in which both
parties have a 50% stake.
Goldman Sachs have been appointed financial advisers to Biomni to lead the
potential transaction which may take place within the first six months of
2000.
Biomni, established late last year, harnesses the e-commerce expertise
developed by both Computacenter and Computasoft during their nine year
partnership in creating sophisticated electronic procurement systems.
Computacenter currently provides a version of Biomni software for electronic
procurement by its customers.
Mike Norris, Chief Executive of Computacenter said: 'Biomni reflects our
belief in the business-to-business e-commerce opportunity and the potential to
extend the commercial reach of our joint developments over the last nine
years. This process marks another milestone in Biomni's development.'
