CONCURRENT TECHNOLOGIES PLC
AGM Statement
At today's Annual General Meeting (19th April 2001) Michael Collins, Chairman,
Concurrent Technologies Plc, which designs, produces and markets single board
computers known as Multibus II, CompactPCI(R) and VME, made the following
comments:
'Trading in the first quarter was in line with expectations and the Board
remains positive for a successful outcome this year.
'The slowdown in the telecommunications sector and in particular, in the move
to the next generations of mobile telephone systems, has occurred as we
anticipated. This should not, however, have a material effect on our growth
since the reduction in the short term in revenue from telecommunications
customers will, we believe, be compensated for by additional sales volume from
other sectors.
'Our new CompactPCI and VME product range has been well received and initial
orders for these have now been secured. We anticipate sales of these to be
strong in the second half of the year.'
All resolutions were passed unanimously.
