Appointment of a director
The board of Harrier is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Stoddart as
Chief Executive of Harrier Group Plc ('Harrier') with immediate effect.
Jim Stoddart has over 30 years experience in the Information Technology ('IT')
industry in the US, UK and Middle East, and a successful record in hardware and
software technology sales and marketing, in project management, and the IT
services marketplace. He was one of the small group which established Electronic
Data Systems (EDS) in Europe in 1984/85, and was divisional director of Hoskyns
(now part of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young) between 1989 and 1991.
Jim Stoddart has advised HP, Fujitsu, Barclays Bank and Philips on IT services
strategies, and between 1995 and 1997, he was involved as Managing Director in
the turnaround and sale of Firstpoint, a UK desktop services company. In 2000,
he founded NetPD, a company which is best known for its role in the music
industry's successful action against Napster and other free file sharing
communities.
Jim Stoddart has strong connections at senior levels within the US and UK IT
services, vendor and user communities which the board believes will be of
particular use in assisting Harrier to develop its business.
The directorships held by Edward James Stoddart (aged 63) over the five years
preceding the date of appointment are as follows:
Current: Broadchart Ltd, Lime House Associates Ltd.
Previous: Firstpoint Ltd, Proven Software Technologies Ltd, uc.com Ltd,
NetPD Ltd.
Proven Software Technology Ltd was a Year 2000 company which ceased trading in
2000, and in February 2001 was placed into a Company Voluntary Arrangement which
was finalised in February 2002. The total deficit to creditors was
approximately £78,630.
There are no other matters which are required to be announced as required under
paragraph (f) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
