           Appointment of Non-executive Director and Director Shareholding

Regency Mines plc ('Regency'), the mining exploration and development company
focused on base metals, in particular properties prospective for copper in
Central Queensland and nickel projects in Western Australia, announced the
appointment of John Watkins as a non-executive director of the Company on 30
March 2005.

John Watkins, aged 61, is a chartered accountant and a former partner of Ernst &
Young and Neville Russell. John Watkins appointment will strengthen the
financial controls of the Company. He was allotted 250,000 ordinary shares of
£0.001 at the Offer Price under the offer for subscription as detailed in the
prospectus dated 31 December 2004.

There are no further details to be disclosed under Rule 17 schedule 2 paragraph
(f) of the AIM Rules in relation to John Watkins.

Regency was notified on 4 April 2005 that Julian Lee a non-executive director of
the Company purchased 174,000 Ordinary Shares at 2.88p per Share on 1 April
2005. Following this transaction Julian Lee is interested in 174,000 Ordinary
Shares representing 0.12% of the issued share capital of the Company.
