Mondas signs new agreement to supply intranet and Internet software to the
Norwegian Local Government market
Mondas plc ('Mondas'), the e-business and financial sector software
specialists, announced at its AGM today that it has signed an agreement with
Ephorma AS, the Norwegian software house created after the merger between
Telenor, the Norwegian PTT, and Posten SDS, the Norwegian Post Office.
The agreement, which guarantees Mondas a minimum of £136,000 in the first
eight months, is to supply two new software components specially developed for
the Local Government marketplace in Norway
Ephorma's strategy is to offer a range of solutions which facilitate internal
information production and publishing via an intranet as well as providing an
easy method for local citizens to access information, contact their local
authority and process applications, tax forms etc. via the Internet. Mondas
and Ephorma are now market leaders in the provision of intranet solutions to
the Norwegian Local Government market.
This agreement extends the March 1997 agreement between Telenor and Mondas'
subsidiary, Reality Communications AS and provides Ephorma with exclusive
rights to sell to the Local Government sector, the 'Forum Infotorg' version of
Mondas' product, Intralink ST, and its two new components, News Publishing and
Internet Publishing. Forum Infotorg has been installed by 8 Norwegian local
authorities.
Commenting on the deal, Tim Simon, chairman of Mondas, said:
'This new deal with Ephorma is another great step forward for Mondas which,
once again, demonstrates how we can successfully combine our skills with our
intranet and workflow technologies. The agreement guarantees us a minimum
income of £136,000 over the next eight months. The potential revenue to Mondas
will depend on Ephorma's actual sales of the solutions plus support and
implementation costs and we are optimistic that it will be more than the
minimum.'
Notes to the Editors
News Publishing allows those authorised users of the intranet to submit news
items through an authorisation process for eventual automated publication to

Internet Publishing allows those authorised users of the intranet to submit
