ComProp Limited ('ComProp) ('the Company')
ComProp has today entered into arrangements to sell two freehold properties to
Guernsey-based property company Walter Property Limited for £10.5 million in
cash.
The properties concerned are Television Centre, St Helier, Jersey and
Television House, including the domestic property Gypsland, St Sampson,
Guernsey.
Since the disposal of Channel Television part of the properties were rented to
Channel Television at an annual rent of £600,000. A small proportion of the
remainder of the space was occupied by Group companies with the balance
unoccupied.
The transaction will generate a profit on disposal of £3.7 million on the
current book value of the properties concerned. The net proceeds, which are
expected to amount to £10.35 million, will strengthen the Company's balance
sheet, and will be retained in the company for the time being.
The Company expects to complete the transaction in Guernsey on Tuesday, 3rd
October and expects to have received the total proceeds by 9th October.
Arrangements have been made for subsidiaries of ComProp to continue to occupy
parts of Television Centre and Television House at current market rents.
