SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME


CRH plc announces that on 3rd March 2008, Davy purchased, on behalf of the
Company, 276,000 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each in CRH plc at prices between
€23.74 and €24.202 per Ordinary Share.  The purchased shares will be held as
Treasury Shares.


Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 6,333,999 Ordinary Shares in
Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is
540,893,195.
