RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 21^st April 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 56,660 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.18 and €18.7463 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 10,681,061 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 699,804,859.
