RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 9^th March 2011 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 1,109 Ordinary Shares at a share price of £10.0629 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 9,161,279 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,347,634.
