RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 19th November 2009 it transferred to the Trustees of its employee share participation scheme 25,504 Ordinary Shares at €17.16 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 13,124,877 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 697,361,043.
