RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 18^th March 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 32,396 Ordinary Shares at prices between €15.5646 and €16.4830 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transaction, CRH plc holds 11,996,854 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 698,489,066.
