RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 20^th April 2011 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 2,251 Ordinary Shares at prices of €15.0854 and £13.13 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,088,162 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,420,751.
