RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 27^th April 2011 it transferred to a participant in an employee share scheme 24,954 Ordinary Shares at prices of €11.9565 and €15.0854 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,063,208 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 709,445,705.
