RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 7^th March 2012, it transferred to participants in employee share schemes 62,381 Ordinary Shares at prices of €11.8573 and £10.8564 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 8,550,179 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 719,347,727.
