RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 8^th April 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 22,507 Ordinary Shares at prices of €15.5646 and €16.2381 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 10,783,352 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 699,702,568.
