RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 1^st September 2010 it transferred to participants in an employee share scheme 1,328 Ordinary Shares at a price of £11.1630 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,756,469 Ordinary Shares in Treasury.  The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 708,038,042.
